We start off in a town called Dale. An off the map town, with tons of graveyards, and old falling down buildings. And most of the towns people seem dead. Well you want to know someting? Most of them are.

Enter the humans.

The begining. Empty Re: The begining.

Leanne looked out the window at the rolling plains. They had been out in the country for what seemed like hours.

"How far away /is/ this place?" Leanne complained aloud, groaning and leaning her head back against the seat. Her mom ignored her complaining and turned up the radio louder, to which Leanne turned her ipod up louder. She was hardly ever seen without it. She often called it 'her crack', however strange that sounded.

The 17 year old girl looked out the window, resting her chin in her hands, and sighing. She knew the town was in a different state, so it would take hours to get there, but her ADHD was kicking in, and she was getting antsy and bored. Never a good combination for her. Her thoughts drifted to what this place could be like. It was so small, and she hoped there would be at least /some/ people there who she could get along with.

Leanne sighed, turning the volume up louder as Three Days Grace began to play. A small smile graced her features as she stared out the window with her purple colored eyes. No, her eyes weren't actually purple. But she thought they looked cool that way so she wore contacts every day. Her natural eye color was a dull blue, but she thought it was boring, hence she wore these every day.

She had her black hair in low pigtails, wearing a tight, sleeveless black shirt, a short black skirt, and fishnet stockings and large combat boots. She also had fishnet gloves on, and a skull hairpiece resting on her hair. She had at least 3 necklaces on, and she looked down, picking at her dark purple nail polish, bored. She closed her eyes with a yawn, falling asleep with her ipod still on.

When Leanne woke up, they were in a small town.

"FINALLY!" She yelled suddenly, to which her mom swerved the car and yelled at her to keep it down. Leanne chuckled, but was quiet. She took in all the sights of the town she would call home now as she passed by them. She soon noticed there were more than 1 cemetary. In fact, there were tons!

Her face lit up and a large grin crossed her features.

"Awesome," She breathed. Her mom rolled her eyes and didn't comment.

Soon they pulled up in front of their house. It was very old looking, as if the slightest step could break it.

Leanne loved it.

She jumped out of the car as fast as she could, stretching her stiff limbs out. 9 hour car rides weren't exactly her favorite thing in the world. She grabbed her backpack, which had a few skull and voodoo doll keychains hanging off of it, and ran inside the house before her mom could say anything. It was even bigger on the inside. She wondered why her mom had picked such a large house for only two people.

She shrugged it off and ran up the stairs, which creaked with every step. She explored each room on the large second floor, and finally found one she liked. It was at the end of the hall, and had a great view of one of the many cemetaries that the small town held. She set her bag down on the ground, which stirred the dust that had been sitting there for who knew how long. Leanne sneezed, blessed herself, then ran back downstairs.

The movers were already there and taking some of the bigger furniture inside. Her mom was directing them with where to put it. She saw her bed. Well, pieces of it. It was a metal bed that was like a bunkbed, but instead of having a bottom bunk there was a space for her desk to go.

One of them dropped one of the metal rods with a clang.

"Careful!!" Leanne exclaimed, picking it up. The mover apologized gruffly, though he didn't sound as though he really cared. More like 'I just want to get paid.' She sighed in annoyance and directed him to her room. She placed her hands on her hips, closing her eyes and inhaling the fresh air.

'Home, sweet home,'she thought.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ella's attention was caught by the sound of moving vans. She looked up from her coloring book, standing up and walking over to the window of the house she and her older sister, Alex, had lived in until their parents had died. That was when she was 6, and Alex was 10. Then they had moved away to live with their Aunt. After their deaths, they found they were still here.
They had come back home, only to find the town almost in ruins. There were others here, it seemed, who were also unable to pass on. They had made acquantinces with several of them, but not all of them. Alex didn't really care to. Ella, however, did. She had always been a very curious and social child.
Like right now. She ran over to the door. Alex had been watching TV, and didn't notice until she was already outside.
She knew she didn't have to worry about Ella getting hurt anymore, well, at least not physically, but she did have to make sure she didn't give away the fact that they were dead.
She turned off the TV and ran out after her.
"What----" Alex began, when she saw the moving van. She paused, placing her hands on her hips.
"Someone new? Moving here?" Ella asked, her voice soft and like a whisper.
"Mmm...seems like it," Alex said, folding her arms across her chest. "I wonder why."
Ella just shrugged, and watched the girl, Leanne, with a spark of curiousity and interest in her pink-tinted eyes. That was one strange thing. When she had died, her hair had turned white, as had her sisters. Her eyes had changed color from dark brown to a light pink. Her sister's had changed from their normal dark brown, almost black, to a grey-ish color.
Alice, or Nella as she prefers to be called was standing on a roof or a near by building. She raised an eyebrow as moveing vans cameing driveing up.
"Oh. my my my, what do we have here?" She asked as she wacthed Leanne and her mother move in.
She couldn't help but laguh her werid little laguh. She took another bite of her apple and jumped off the building. She landed gracefully on her feet, not far from the stone siblings. She took another bite, and glanced at them. "Hello Ella, Alexandra." She said her voice monotone.
Nella wasn't the most sane person, or ghost. But at the moment she seemed to be in the right mind. At least for now.
Suddenly a black car driveing up caught her eye.
~~
"Why so far away, Warren?" Willow asked looking out of the window. She was bored, and hated that. Warren knew the first thing Willow would do would be running aroun the town.
"The futher away from them the better!" Warren anwsered.
"But off the map?" Willow asked looking at him. "Isn't that a little to far?" It was true, the town of Dale wasn't even on the map. In fact they had gotten lost on the way here. Now they were driveing through the streets lined with graveyards. Willow thought it was kinda cool. Warren on the other hand thought he just mad a mistake by moveing here with his little sister.
Their father was a drunk, and would beat her. So when he truned 18 he took her from their parnets. And now they were moveing far away from their home in Mami. So far away it took almost two days to get to this ghost town. He sighed he would miss the beach.
He smiled slightly when he saw the moveing vans, at least they weren't the only new people here. They, on the other hand only had what they could fit inside his car. They would be sleeping on airmats for a while. He glanced at the group of girls standing on the side walk. Amazeingly two of them had white hair. 'They must have dyed it like I did.' He thought, because he tohad white hair. Then the thrid had red eyes. 'Contacts.' He assumed.
Boy, wasn't he in for a surpise.
Alex's eye twitched when she was addressed as Alexandra.
"That's not my name, and you know it," She snapped. "Alice."
She smirked slightly. Ella's attention was now drawn to the other car when it came up.
"Wait---" Alex started, but Ella had already run off towards it. Alex sighed, and ran after her. Ella had already stepped in front of the car. Alex knew she couldn't get hurt, but she also knew that if she was hit by a car and nothing happened to her, there would be questions. She pulled her out of the way just in time.
~~~~~~
Leanne stayed outside, directing the movers along with her mom. She was mostly just making sure they didn't mess up any more of her things, though.

Her eyes were drawn to another car as it drove by, then to three girls, two with white hair and one with red eyes. Maybe she liked contacts, like she did? She didn't have much time to think about this, though, so she just waved at them. A few minuts later, she saw that all her furniture had been taken inside, she walked over to the moving truck. They were taking out the heavier boxes now, piling them in the large, empty living room. Leanne spotted one of her boxes that she had marked with 'NECESSITES FOR FIRST NIGHT; GET NOW!!!'

She laughed at her writing and grabbed the box before the movers could. It was fairly light. She took it up the stairs and to her room, where her bed was already set up. Her dresser was sitting against one wall, and the rest of the room was empty. She climbed up the ladder and plopped down on her matress, setting the box in front of her. She took off the tape and opened it, and began pulling out various items. Once it was empty she dropped the empty box carelessly on the ground, and looked at the items on her bed.

To anyone else, it just looked liked random crap. But to her, it was all very important, and she insisted that she needed it, for the first night especially, since she knew she wouldn't get much of her stuff until the next day.

On the bed in front of her was a wooden stake, a clove of garlic, a flask of holy water, and a cross.

Yeah, she believed in vampires. So what? She placed them on the nightstand, keeping them close, just in case. Her friends laughed at her, but she always insisted that if vampires every /were/ proven to be real, /she/ would be the one laughing.

She looked at the other items on her bed from the box. Two DVDS of old horror films. She knew the TV probably wouldn't be hooked up until tomorrow, but she had her laptop. Speaking of which....

She reached into her bag and pulled out the laptop, which was covered with stickers of spiders and other various items. She set it on the edge of her bed, looking around the room. It was bland, and definatly needed some of her personal touch. The main thing being paint. She hated to have white walls. Her old room had been painted black, and she loved it. She thought maybe she'd try a different color this time.

'Purple,' she finally decided. Most of her wardrobe consisted of only those two colors; black and purple. She looked out the window, peering down at the movers who were still unloading the truck. They'd have to come back and finish the next day. Even though it was just the two of them, her and her mom had tons of stuff. Leanne was a pack rat; she hated giving stuff away. Her mom was the same way.

She climbed down from her bed and looked out the other window, which was on the other side of the room and on the wall where her headboard was facing. It was the one with the nice view of the cemetary. She tried to block out the loud noises of the movers as she looked at the graves.

Warren's eyes widened as the girl jump in front of him. He thought he was gonna hit her, and Willow almost screamed. He sighed when the girl was pulled out of the way.

He drove for a few move seconds, then pulled along side a house a few doors down. It was big, ad it had been cheap, he didn't understand why, maybe because Dale wasn't on the map.

He quietly stepped out of the car after he truned it off. He brushed some of his white hair out of his eyes, and glanced at Willow when she stepped out.

She was a pretty girl, and at their old school alot of guys asked her out, till they found out she was related to the school trouble maker.

He tossed her the keys, and pulled out a box from the back seat. She caught them and ran and unlocked the door.

~~
Alice, or Nella blinked. "I never jumped, or fall down a rabbit hole, so don't call me that." She hissed. She truned to face the black car, and frowned.

Suddenly she was wondering were Issac was. He would love to see the two new girls in town.

Leanne quickly looked away from the window and walked back downstairs. The sun was setting, and her mom was still helping them drag boxes in.

"Leanne, good, you're here, help me with this," she said. Leanne realized she still had her ipod in her ears, though the music was off. She pretended not to hear her, and instead walked straight to the box that read 'Lee's Bedding' and took it upstairs without stopping. She heard her mom yelling after her, and smirked. Yes, she was lazy. What teenager wasn't?

She walked back up to her room, carrying the box in front of her. She climbed up the ladder, somehow managing to balance the box and get it up there. She opened the top, taking out her black bedsheets and purple blanket. Yes, black and purple. Again.

She took out her two pillows, one black and one purple, and her one stuffed animal she owned, a bat she named George. Don't ask.

She dropped the empty box off the side of her bed, watching as it landed next to the other one with a plop.

She put her sheets on her bed, smoothing the blanket over it. She never made her bed, but decided to today, just for the heck of it.

"Well, here we are, George," She said to her stuffed animal, propping him up in her lap. The window was up high on the wall, so she could see out of it while sitting on her 'bunk bed'. She sighed. She missed her friends. She pulled out a note one of them had given her before she left. It simply said

'Good luck, and don't bite anyone too hard.'

She smirked, wondering what that note must look like to anyone who didn't understand her. She groaned, laying back on her bed and hugging George closely. She may of been 17, but she was kind of immature for her age. She sat up a moment later, and climbed back down the ladder, and looked out her other window. Her curiousity getting the better of her, she grabbed her hoodie out of her backpack and slipped it on, keeping her ipod buds in her ears, but just to fool her mom. She hurried down the stairs and out the front door. She wanted to explore.
~~~~~~~~~
Alexandra grasped Ella tightly, pulling her out of the street and back towards Alice.
"Don't," She hissed. "You can't let them know you're dead."
Ella frowned, but nodded. She ran back in the house. Alex sighed, and stood out front, watching Willow and Warren wordlessly.
~~~~~~~
Samuel was just now pulling up in his car. His dad was driving the moving van behind them. He pulled into their new driveway, by their new house. Which wasn't new at all, actually. It looked like it was falling apart. And unlike Leanne, he didn't like it.

Their new house was across from Leanne's, next to Willow and Warren's. He blinked in surprise. Three different families moving in in one day? It was such a small town. What were the odds?

Never one to dwell on the minor issues, he stepped out of his car, shutting the door behind him. His dad had parked on the street. They had a lot of stuff, like Leanne and her mom, but it was all important stuff, at least Sam liked to think so.

They were going to unload the van tomorrow. Right now, they only had what were in the two boxes in the backseat. Sam was /not/ happy about this.

His mood immediatly lightened as he stepped out of the car and saw Willow.

'Cute,' he immediatly decided. As his dad carried in the boxes, he casually made his way over to her and who he assumed was her brother, stuffing his hands in his pockets.

"Hey," he said, flashing her a smile. "You moving in today, too, huh?" He asked. "What's your name?"

He looked her up and down as he spoke, obviously to see just how cute she was.

Willow tossed the keys back at her brothers head, and giggled when they hit him in the forehead.She truned back to Sam. Ever the preson to want to make friends, Willow smiled at him. "Willow." She said. "And that's my brother Warren." She said pointing to Warren as he bent down to pick up the keys. "And you are?" She asked still smileing.

Sam just nodded, not showing a great amount of interest in her brother. He smiled at her.

"I'm Samuel," He said, taking her hand and kissing it lightly. He wasn't old fashioned; he just used it as an excuse to kiss a girl's hand. "But you can call me Sam," he added, winking lightly at her with a small chuckle.
~~~~~~
Ella was back on the floor, drawing in her coloring book. Alex watched those across the street for a moment, when a girl caught her eye. It was the one she had seen earlier, moving in. She was headed for the cemetary. She frowned, raising an eyebrow, but didn't make a move to go after her. She sat down on the front porch, sighing lightly. She hated this kind of life. It felt so...empty, sometimes.
~~~~~
Leanne was walking towards the cemetary. She wanted to explore it. It looked so...inviting, from her window. She waved again at the girl with the white hair, the older one, it looked like, before stepping into the cemetary and walking slowly up and down the rows of graves, looking at each one closely, as if it held some sort of hidden interest to her that no one else could see.

Willow's cheeks heated up, and she truned bright red when he kissed her hand. She pulled her hand back quickly. "N- nice to meet you, Samuel, I mean Sam." She always blushed so easily, sometimes boys would mistake this for her likeing them back, but that was most of the time not the case.

Warren hadd looked up at just the right moment. Willow never really had a boy friend before, it might have been because Warren was a tad really over protive of her. "HEY! Keep your handsand lips to yourself!" Warren said angerly, glareing at Samuel.

~~
Issac was sitting on a grave stone, whistleing, adsent mindly. His eyes were closed and he didn't hear any of the vans or cars, not even the sound of Leanne's footsteps.

~~
Alice sighed and layed back on the roof, she found herself wanting to know who she was again.

Samuel looked somewhat satisfied, seeing her blushing. This made him feel good. When Warren yelled, he smiled slightly.

"Right, right, my apologies," he said, not really meaning it.
~~~~~~
Leanne stopped when she came to a gravestone with a boy on it. He had his eyes closed, and didn't seem to see her. She tilted her head slightly, wondering what on earth he was doing.
She leaned closer, and smiled, thinking this a good time to make a first impression and maybe even scare someone, something she liked to do a lot.
"Boo!" She yelled in his ear, then jumped back, smirking and looking at him for a response.
~~~~~~
Alex looked up when she heard someone yell 'boo'. Her hearing had become strangely good over the past 20 years since she had died. She stood up and started towards the cemetary, frowning slightly as she did so.

Willow sighed. "I am really sorry about my brother." She said almost sadly.

Ths also made Warren frown, he shock his head and started bringing boxes in again, mumbleing under his breath.

Willow offered Samuel another smile, her face retruning to it rightful color.

~~
Issac's eyes snapped open. "Who are you?" He said looking her over. She was pretty, very pretty. "Why is a pretty girl in the graveyard?" He asked, surely she wasn't dead. No he was dead, so was Alice/Nella, Alex, and Ella. There were more, alots more. Althrough their were some humans who lived here all their life. Every ghost in this town made sure they kept thir secret hidden. But. . . there were a few times when humans found out. But over time humans learnt not to qustion when they saw the same person, ten years apart, looking exatly the same.

Leanne pouted slightly when she got no response out of him, not even a jump. When he called her pretty, she just laughed slightly

"I'm looking at the graves," She said simply. "And what are /you/ doing here?" She asked.
~~~~~
Alex had found her way to the graveyeard, and saw Leanne. She watched from around the corner of Leanne's house, so she stayed somewhat hidden. When she saw Issac she frowned, rolling her eyes as she listened.
~~~~~
Sam waited until her brother was gone before turning back to her, grinning broadly again, overly-confident.

"Well, Willow, it's not every day I meet such a pretty girl," he said. "I hope we can get to know each other better. Neighbor," he said, with another wink and small laugh.

"Well, I was enjoying the peace. But now I'm in compeny of a pretty lady, now I am enjoying myself even more." Issac said with a smile. He thought he had her in the palm of his hand, he thought everyone wanted him, and if they didn't he would assume they were too scared to admit. See, he thought he was perfect!

~~
Willow started to blush again, she tried to hide it. "T- thank-you." She said, a small smile. "I would very much like to know you better, myself." She said looking up again as her face became it's pale color again. No, she didn't like him, she just meet him, but she loved to have friends, and she would very much like to have Samuel as a freind, even more condering how small the town of Dale was. She was used to haveing tons of friends, she was just a loveable person.

"Well, thanks, I guess," She said. No one had ever really called her pretty before. Well, they had, but in a teasing way.
~~~~~~~
Alex rolled her eyes again, her hands clenching into fists at her sides for no apparent reason.
~~~~~~~
Sam laughed slightly, seeing her blush and stutter.

"Well, I have to go unpack," He said. "The two boxes I have for tonight, that is," He added somewhat bitterly. Then he smiled at her again.

"Talk to you later, neighbor," He said, and waved at her over his shoulder as he walked into his house.

~~
Willow was smileing still as she started helping her brother. They had all the boxs inside in a matter of minutes. They didn't have much stuff, they couldn't affrod a moveing van. So they had to leave their beds, and dressers. Willow also had to leave some of her stuff animals, and books, this had upset her. But at least she was away from her dad. Suddenly she hoped Sam hadn't noticed the badages around her wrists, and the brusie on her neck.

Sam /did/ notice the bandages and bruise, but didn't think much of it, at least not now. He was inside blowing up the two air matresses, thinking if there would be any other cute girls for him to talk to.
~~~~
Leanne smiled slightly at him, taking his hand and shaking it.
"Leanne," She said. Then she looked at him seriously. "But don't call me Leanne. Either Lee, or Anne, not both together." She suddenly laughed again, unable to keep up her serious demenor.
"Why were you relaxing in a graveyard?" She asked.
~~~~~~
Alex groaned, unable to take this anymore. She stepped out from behind Leanne's house and walked into the graveyard, right up to Issac and Leanne.

"He's a freak, that's why," She said. Leanne looked at her, blinking in surprise.

"Oh, my apologies," Alex said, being polite to her, but just because she didn't really know her. "I'm Alex." Leanne smiled slightly at her, and nodded.

Issac was about to say something when Alex stepped out.

"I am hurt, Alex. To be called a freak, by a freak herself." Issac said bitterly. "I am sorry, Lee, let me warn you, be careful around my violent freind here." He said with a smile. "Very violent." He repeated, knowing he would most likely get hit. But he was used to it. He had known her as a dead for 20 years, and had seen her a few times when she was alive.

Alex's eye twitched slightly as she listened to him talk. She walked over to him, and hit him hard in the arm, then again in the back of the head. Leanne stifled a laugh as she watched them.

"Well, it's nice to meet you two," Leanne said again, smiling slightly. Alex was too busy glaring at Issac to say the same.

The begining. Empty Re: The begining.

Alex had managed to knock Issac off the grave stone. "Very nice to meet you too, Lee." Issac said from the ground. He was frowning. How dare Alex hit him!? Who did dhe think she was, to hit someone as prefect as he!? He slowly sat up, then was on his feet. He brushed off the dirt from his clothes. He quickly jumped off the grave he was standing on. "Alex, look what you made me do! You made me land on my sister's grave!" He said glareing back at her.

~~
Alice jumped off the top of Sam's home, landing gracefuly on her feet. But she had made a mistake and landed in front of a window.

Leanne was frowning now.

Alex glared at Issac.

"She's dead, I don't think she'll mind," She said simply, bitterly. Leanne frowned deeper at this.
~~~~~
Sam was just finishing blowing up the second mattress when he saw something out of the corner of his eye land in front of his window. He looked, and there was a girl.
'Another pretty one! My luck just keeps getting better and better today,' he thought, standing up and smiling at Alice. He walked over to the front door and opened it, stepping outside.
Alice truned towards Sam when the door opened. Her red eyes meet his. "Who are you?" She asked in a monotone. She was beautiful in that "not for you" way.
~~
Issac stuck his tounge out at her.
Alex just rolled her eyes, folding her arms across her chest.
Leanne opened her mouth to speak, when she heard yelling coming form her house.
"Crap..." She mumbled. She looked at Alex, then Issac.
"It was nice to meet you guys, but I have to go before my mom murders me," She laughed slightly here. "I'll see you later!" She called, and turned and ran back towards her house, next door to the cemetary. Alex watched her go, not too thrilled at the idea of being left alone with Issac.
~~~~~
'Certainly beautiful,' Sam decided, looking her up and down.

"Samuel Long, pleasure to meet you," He said, repeating the same hand-kiss that he had used on Willow moments before. "And you are...?" He asked, not releasing her hand yet.

Issac started to walk away. "See ya." He called over his shoulder at Alex, not wanting to spend one more moment with her.

~~
Nella glared at their hands. Her red eyes suddenly meet his. "Nella," Alice said, Nella didn't really fit her well, she reallt did look more like an Alice. "Now release my hand." She said. She didn't like the idea of someone touching her. It made her feel sick, if the dead could sick. "You seem like a guy who likes to flirt, Sammy." She said. She couldn't remeber what he said his name was, Sam someting so she said Sammy.

Samuel frowned, and reluctantly released her hand.

"Sam, please. And yes, I do," He smiled at her, flashing his white teeth. "What of it?" He asked. The name Nella didn't seem to fit her for some reason.
~~~~~~~
"Hopefully not," Alex mumbled, and turned to leave. She couldn't stand that man. He was one of the few dead she actually wanted to kill, but couldn't, for obvious reasons.
She walked back to her house, and stepped inside. Ella was still on the ground with her coloring book. Alex smiled slightly, and went back to watching TV.
~~~~~~
Leanne was home now, and in her room with her laptop. She was watching an old horror movie that she had seen countless times, but that still gave her chills. She had an empty pizza box and about three empty cans of coke on the ground around her.

Alice opened her mouth to say someting when Issac came over, smileing.

"Hello, Miss Winds." He said with a small bow. "Looking as beautiful as ever, if not more so." He said standing up and flashing her a perfect smile.

"Hello, Issac." Alice said dully. "I'm surpised you are here!"

"Oh why is that?" He asked, still smileing, but now playing with the tips of her blonde hair.

"One, there is two new, and rather pretty girls here." Alice, or rather Nella. "Why aren't you makeing a fool of yourself in front of them?" She spat. "I already know you are a fool, no need to prove to me again this little fact."

Issace frowned. Nella was always a hard one to flirt with, she thought she was to good for him. But he /knew/ he was to good for her, and she should feel lucky haveing him flirting with her. In Nella's mind he was scum, shallow and spoiled.

"Oh, is that so, /Alice/?" He asked, trying to get under her skin, if that is what you call it. "You should be thanking me, for I do not believe any other boy whould take an likeing to you." He spat back. "/Alice./"

Alice frowned. "I'm sorry Issac, do you mind cutting this short?" She asked. "You see I was haveing a pleasent talk with Sam, here." She said.

Issac frowned and looked at Sam, as if just know noticeing him.

~~
Willow sat on the floor. The house seemed so empty. Too big. She didn't like it. She was tempted to go back outside, but Warren didn't want her out after dark, and the sun was setting.
